Luis joins Google Ventures with several years of product management experience at Google. Prior to Google Ventures, Luis was an International Product Manager at YouTube, where he helped lead the successful localization of the online video service into 17 countries and more than 12 languages. He also served as a Business Product Manager for Google’s International Product Management team. In this capacity, Luis helped define and scale Google’s product localization operations, and he led the regional hiring of Google’s Product Management organization in Latin America.
Earlier in his career, Luis worked for a boutique strategy consulting firm advising senior clients across a range of consumer industries.
Luis holds MS degrees in engineering from Stanford University, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He earned his undergraduate degree magna cum laude in mechanical engineering from Princeton University.
