Lisa Maki is an entrepreneur and software industry veteran.
Lisa is currently Director of Design Management for Benefitfocus, the largest software benefits data provider in the world, managing product definition and deployment for it’s Core platform and systems.
Before joining Benefitfocus, Lisa co-founded BeliefNetworks, a predictive analytics and semantic intelligence technology startup. Lisa oversaw all business development, operations and product definition. BeliefNetworks was acquired by Benefitfocus in June 2010.
Prior to BeliefNetworks, Lisa Maki defined new product opportunities in the area of International Disaster Response and Recovery for the office of the CTO and Microsoft Corporation’s Research and Incubation team with particular emphasis on Knowledge Discovery, Data Fusion and Collaborative Problem Solving.
Lisa spent the 10 previous years as an independent consultant with an international practice specializing in software design and delivery, organizational design, and leadership development for technology-based Fortune 500 and startup companies.
Prior to consulting, Lisa held several positions in consumer product development at the Microsoft Corporation including management of Microsoft’s Kid’s Product Unit and its development, product planning and marketing teams, and Director of Program Management for Microsoft’s Consumer Division.
Ms. Maki holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Stanford University.
