Liran Eshel

Liran Eshel brings more than 15 years of managerial experience in software, security and networking technologies to CTERA Networks. Prior to founding the company with partner Zohar Kaufman, Eshel was CEO of SofaWare Technologies, a subsidiary of Check Point, where he was responsible for defining strategy and overall executive management of the company over a period of 8 years. He led the company from early incubation to market leadership in the low-end network security appliance segment, partnering with the likes of Nokia, D-Link and Toshiba.

Previously, Eshel served as an officer in an elite technological unit of the Israel Defense Forces managing various R&D teams. He holds a B.Sc. in Mathematics and Computer Science and a M.Sc. in Computer Science from Bar-Ilan University.
