Larry Fitzgibbon is currently EVP, Networks at Demand Media. In this role Larry is responsible for the operations of Demand Media’s vertical media properties in entertainment, games, knowledge, and outdoor lifestyle. Larry joined Demand Media as part of the founding team as Senior Vice President of Monetization at Demand Media, Inc. In his former role, Larry was responsible for driving revenue for Demand Media’s network of content sites.
Prior to joining Demand Media, Larry was Vice President of Business Development at Citysearch, Inc, an operating business of IAC/InterActiveCorp (NASDAQ: IACI), where he was a key member of the executive team responsible for leading the nine-year old startup to profitability. At Citysearch he developed and executed Citysearch’s business and partnership strategy to drive its leadership position within the local search/Internet Yellow Pages marketplace. Larry’s efforts helped Citysearch grow its traffic to more than 16 million unique users per month, making Citysearch the most visited Yellow Pages site on the Internet according to comScore.
Larry began at Citysearch as Director of Strategic Partnerships, responsible for managing strategic relationships for the leading local search service. During his tenure at Citysearch, Larry managed key partnerships with Internet firms such as MSN, Yahoo and Google.
Prior to this, Larry was Vice President of Distribution at Intertainer, a pioneer company in the entertainment industry’s burgeoning video-on-demand business. In this role, Larry designed and executed sales and distribution strategy for the organization, while managing relationships with its film, television, Internet and cable partners.
Larry earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from St. Louis University.
