Kunal is an entrepreneur who guides startups in defining their technology strategy, product roadmap and development plans. With strong relations with several development partners worldwide, he enables companies of all sizes to build appropriate development partnerships. He generally works in an Advisor or Consulting CTO capacity, and serves actively in the Project Management and Technical Architect functions. Kunal is currently serving on the Board of Advisors for several technology startups. See the Startups page for more information. Kunal’s core strengths are in architecting solutions for the emerging Web 2.0, SOA, SAAS and Cloud Computing using predominately open source technology stacks. He has also done a lot of work on mobile platforms such as iPhones and Blackberries. Kunal’s passion is Aeronautics. As part of his Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, he did a minor in Aeronautical Physics where his final project was demonstrating using Wind Tunnel experiments, how and why a Cessna can take off at a slower speed then you normally drive on a freeway. Kunal also holds a Masters in Software Engineering. He lives with his beautiful wife, Neeta, and 2 pooches (Dusty and Snowie) in Los Angeles, CA. He actively helps Neeta as a Producer on her film projects. They are currently in Pre-Production for a full length feature film called “The Sixty Fifth Art”. The movie is a comedy on the second most sold book in the world after the Bible (take a guess!) set in Victorian England. Last, and most importantly, Kunal is a instrument rated private pilot and enjoys flying his Cessna 172. His is passively pursuing a Commerical Pilot License.
