Kul Singh is a serial technology entrepreneur with expertise in building highly innovative large-scale data and real-time infrastructure companies. Mr. Singh recently founded Funnelscope and Tickreel (a Techcrunch Disrupt finalist in May 2010).
Funnelscope (www.funnelscope.com) has developed an innovative social commerce platform for hotels that significantly improves the consumer experience searching for a hotel. The problem that Funnelscope solves is to save users time in finding a hotel. Funnelscope leverages real-time data from Facebook, Twitter, and Foursquare as building blocks to create a highly unique hotel database of social reviews. Funnelscope currently has over 5 million social ratings and recommendations, making it the largest social database for hotels versus any other online hotel search engine.
Tickreel (www.tickreel.com) has developed a real-time channel product for identifying high-signal web information within topics based on influence and activity. Using a powerful topic-based influence measurement for people, Tickreel provides the equivalent of a Page-Rank for the real-time and social web.
Prior to founding these companies, Mr. Singh was CEO of Tervela, a company he co-founded. Tervela’s (www.tervela.com) product is a real-time data fabric enabled via hardware and software messaging switches. Tervela has offices in New York and Boston with over 45 employees. Tervela’s customers include many of the world’s top banks, hedge funds, and exchanges. The company has raised over $50 million in capital to date from investors that include Goldman Sachs and Sigma Partners. Mr. Singh co-authored five patents at Tervela.
Prior to founding Tervela, Mr. Singh was Founder and CEO of Servzone, which developed an enterprise message-oriented middleware solution that pushed real-time data into native HTML with minimal coding on the front-end.
