Kris is the former President and CEO of Pepperjam, a full-service internet marketing agency and affiliate network he founded in 1999 and sold to GSI Commerce in 2009 and later acquired by eBay (NASDAQ – EBAY). Since leaving Pepperjam in April 2010 Kris founded an early stage technology investment fund called KBJ Capital, which includes portfolio companies Highlighter.com, Yumm.com, LavCup, APPEK Mobile Apps, VigLink, Pathmapp, Internet Media Labs, and ReferLocal.com, a local digital commerce platform focused on helping media companies make more money online. Most recently Kris joined on as advisor / chairman of Internet Marketing and SEO tools company Internet Marketing Ninjas.
A foremost internet marketing expert, pioneer, and leading voice of the search engine and affiliate marketing industries, Kristopher is a frequent keynote speaker, panelist, and moderator at leading national and international interactive marketing and technology conferences. In addition to speaking to business owners and fellow technology buffs, Kristopher has delivered dozens of inspirational speeches to thousands of college students at prestigious colleges and universities around the United States.
Among numerous other notable achievements while President & CEO of Pepperjam, the company was recognized for three consecutive years by Inc. Magazine as one of the fastest growing privately held companies in the United States of America (2006, 2007, 2008).
Kristopher is the author of the best-selling book: “Search-Engine Optimization: Your Visual Blueprint to Effective Internet Marketing,”which has been the top selling book every year on search marketing since its first print in 2008. Kris recently wrote the 3rd edition of SEO Visual Blueprint, which includes a foreword by Internet Marketing Ninja’s CEO Jim Boykin.
Kristopher was recognized in 2008 as a finalist for the prestigious Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year and was a previous Entrepreneur of the Year by Bank of America (2005). Jones has been recognized as one of the “Top 20″ Business Leaders in Northeastern, Pennsylvania under the age of 40 by two separate organizations (Times Leader and Northeastern Pennsylvania Business Journal).
In his free time Kris enjoys traveling, reading, and giving inspirational speeches to young professionals and students. Kris very much enjoys serving on several academic and non-profit advisory boards and has previously worked as a senior staff member to Congressman Paul E. Kanjorski (PA-11).
Kristopher received a Bachelor of Arts from the Pennsylvania State University, a Master of Science from Villanova University, and a Juris Doctorate from Albany Law School.
Kris is married to Robyn Martin Jones (also a former Pepperjammer and currently a full-time Mom who serves on numerous non-profit boards of directors). The couple resides in Shavertown, PA with their sons Kris Jr. and Jackson, daughter Lauren, dogs Roxy and Bentley, himalayan cat Persy, and 14 large Koi fish.
