Krista is Vice President, Marketing for a new startup that is presently in stealth.
Krista is a digital media marketer and social media addict who has helped launch and build startups for 13 years, including Adly, Quantcast, Shopping.com, Plaxo and many more.
Previously, Krista was VP Marketing for Adly, the LA-based startup that pioneered the market for celebrity endorsements in social media. Prior to that, she marketed The OpenCalais Initiative at Thomson Reuters, recruiting the company’s first Web developer community (30,000 strong) and elevating its profile in tech circles.
Previously, Krista was Sr. Director Corporate Communications for AOL, where she led PR and promotion for the AOL Instant Messenger Service (AIM®), ICQ® and their related mobile and social properties, as well as it’s Tegic T9® predictive text brand.
Earlier, she provided PR strategy and execution to CMGI, Inc. and it’s more than 72 subsidiaries and venture investments, including AltaVista, Engage, AdSmart, MyFamily.com, Raging Bull and many more.
Krista holds an MA in English Literature from Simmons College, and a BS in Communications from Northwestern University.
