Kiyan Foroughi is the CEO and co-Founder of Boticca, an online marketplace connecting the world’s most talented independent designers of fashion accessories with customers seeking unique, exquisite pieces from inspiring places. He launched the marketplace after an inspired moment in a bustling Medina of Marrakesh when he realised that such talent wasn’t easily accessible.
Prior to launching Boticca, Kiyan worked as an investment professional at TA Associates, a major global private equity firm based in their London office where he led the firm’s Internet and French sourcing and investment practices. At TA, he executed many of the firm’s investments in the Internet sector in Europe including online fashion retailer M&M Direct, online microstock marketplace Fotolia and online web security firm AVG Technologies. Prior to TA, Kiyan was an investment banker at Jefferies in New York in the technology group where he advised on 11 completed merger & acquisitions worth over a combined $1 billion in value and was the firm’s youngest ever Fairness Opinion Specialist.
Kiyan has a BA in Economics from Tufts University in Boston. Kiyan is French, of Iranian descent, grew up in Paris and Dubai and has lived in Boston, New York and London. He is fluent in English, French and Farsi.
