Kirill Sheynkman is the Senior Managing Director of RTP Ventures – the U.S. arm of ru-Net, one of Russia’s premier VC funds. He is a three-time CEO and founder (technical and non-technical) of software companies (two exits, two acquisitions, one IPO) backed by Sequoia, Hummer Winblad, Bay Partners, and Amazon, in various combinations. Prior companies include Stanford Technology Group (acquired, Informix 1995) – a relational OLAP server for doing advanced analytics on relational databases, Plumtree software (public, acquired BEA Systems) – the world’s first corporate portal, and Elastra (private) – a cloud computing infrastructure company. Between companies, Kirill was an EIR at Sequoia Capital. A technologist (CS from Stanford) and a businessman (MBA from Berkeley) with Sand Hill roots and a New York state of mind.
