“The CEO of DivX, Kevin formerly served as President of DivX from April to July 2007. In that role, he oversaw sales and marketing as well as product and business management functions for multiple product lines. In his previous positions as CXO and COO of DivX, he led the company’s global licensing business strategy. Kevin also had operational responsibility for our sales, business development, marketing, product management, engineering, partner support and consumer electronics certification teams.
Before joining DivX, he served as Senior Vice President of Product Management for Palm’s Solutions Group, where he was responsible for Palm branded products and services worldwide. Before Palm, Kevin was Vice President of the Connected Home division and Vice President of Corporate Strategy at Gateway where he defined and led Gateway’s “Beyond-the-Box” initiatives.
Kevin began his journey at Stanford University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a master’s degree in Aeronautics. After Stanford, Kevin designed communications satellites and interplanetary spacecraft for Hughes Aircraft Company. Kevin then went on to earn an MBA at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and worked for seven years at Boston Consulting Group, focusing on clients in the high-technology, telecommunications and entertainment markets. Kevin also was the executive producer for the short film “Some Folks Call it a Sling Blade” that provided the basis for the blockbuster film Sling Blade with Billy Bob Thornton.” (Source: DivX)
