Kent Lindstrom

Kent Lindstrom is the CEO of Spot a provider of a subscription-based local diner’s membership service. The service offers users access to unlimited discounts and offers in their city for a monthly fee. Spot also provides a SaaS platform for restaurants, allowing them to fill excess inventory.

Kent founded and was CEO of PlacePop, a provider of mobile loyalty cards, which was the predecessor company to Spot.

Previously, Kent was CEO of the social network Friendster, where he had been CFO since its inception.

Prior to taking the position of CEO, he served as Friendster’s CFO from March 2003 to Jan 2006. Kent joined Friendster in 2002 as one of the company’s first employees.

Before Friendster, he was a senior manager at Deloitte & Touche LLP, specializing in strategic planning and finance. He left Deloitte & Touche in his partnership year to join NetRead as its first President.

Kent holds Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and holds an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
