Mr. Katsumi Ihara serves as President of Sony Life Insurance Co., Ltd. Mr. Ihara serves as the President of Sony Financial Holdings Inc. and served as its Executive Vice President. Mr. Ihara served as President of Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications AB since 2001. He joined Sony Corporation in May 1981, and served in various positions in relation to AV/IT (Audio Video/Information Technology) product divisions. In April 2000, he served as President of the Personal IT Network Company, assuming overall responsibility for VAIO PCs, Handycam camcorders, and Cyber-shot digital still cameras to mobile phones. He entered Mitsui Knowledge Industry Co Ltd in 1973. He served as President of TV Business Group of Sony Corporation since October 1, 2005. He served as NC President of Home Electronics Network Company and Officer in charge of Procurement Strategies and TV & Video Business of Sony Corporation since 2005. He served as Executive Deputy President, Officer In Charge Of Consumer Representative Corporate Products Group of Sony Corporation and served as its Representative Corporate Executive Officer, Group Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Financial Officer since 2004, Group Executive Officer since 2001.He served as Corporate Senior Vice President and NC President of Personal IT Network Company of Sony Corporation since 2000. He served as President of Home A&V Products Company at Sony Corporation since 1996. From 1997 to June 2000, he served as Corporate Vice President of Sony Corporation. Mr. Ihara served as Sony’s Corporate Executive Vice President since 2000. From April 1999 to April 2000, he served as Deputy President of the Personal IT Network Company with primary responsibility for Sony’s mobile phone business. He served as Vice President of Consumer Audio & Video Products Company, Sony’s largest electronics business unit since April 1994. From 1985 to 1990, he worked with Sony Deutschland GmbH, the German sales and marketing subsidiary of Sony Europe, and at Sony Europe GmbH, the pan-European headquarters for Sony’s electronics business in Europe. After returning to Sony’s Headquarters in Tokyo in 1990, he served in key positions in business control and corporate planning. He started his career as a Consultant. He serves as a Director of Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications AB. He serves as Representative Director of Sony Life Insurance Co., Ltd. He serves as a Representative Director of Sony Financial Holdings Inc. He serves as a Director of Sony Assurance Inc. and Sony Mobile Communications AB.
