Katherine Barr/ MDV
Katherine Barr is a Partner at Mohr Davidow, and focuses primarily on the web and mobile sectors. Some of the companies she works with include: Ticketfly, Root Music, PunchTab, Massive Health, Visible Measures, and Wordnik.
She is an advisor to Samasource, on the Organizing Committee for C100, an advisor to 500Startups and i/o ventures and founding sponsor of Startup2Startup.
She previously worked as a Negotiator at Vantage Partners for technology companies such as IBM, Cisco, Applied Materials, and HP, was on the founding team of a communications technology startup called HSA, and was part of the marketing team for ACCESS Systems USA, a global software solutions provider for mobile devices.
Katherine teaches a yearly Professional Education Negotiation seminar for the School of Engineering at Stanford. During her graduate studies at Stanford, she was involved in running the E-Challenge business plan competition for BASES (Business Association of Stanford Engineering Students). She also did technical research for the US-Asia Technology Management Center.
Katherine received her B.A. from McGill University, and completed an M.A. and the M.S. core curriculum in Management Science and Engineering at Stanford University.
