Kate is venture capitalist with Scale Venture Partners focused on investments in software and business services. Kate has 25 plus years experience in technology, finance and management. Kate sits on the Board of Wayport. Kate Mitchell is a member of the National Venture Capital Association Board of Directors and will serve a four year term that ends in 2011. Kate is also on the Board of Directors of the Friends of the San Francisco Public Library.
Before joining ScaleVP in 1996, Kate was responsible for the development and launch of Bank of America’s internet banking services. In addition to technology management, Kate has significant experience in corporate finance and business development.
Kate holds a BA from Stanford University and an MBA from the Executive Program at Golden Gate University in San Francisco. She also attended the Harvard Executive Program for Strategic Marketing. Kate is active as a Charter Member of Environmental Entrepreneurs (Silicon Valley).
