Karim Helal is a successful serial entrepreneur, having founded and managed a wide range of startups, ranging from Import/Exports to online web applications.
Following a peaceful childhood in the UAE, Karim spent the next 15 years in Canada, first earning a Bachelor in Electrical Engineering from Polytechnique, then working as a Project Manager for Ericsson Canada and then returning to school to get an MBA in entrepreneurship from HEC.
As a co-founder and managing partner of the popular eTendering site Monaqasat.com, Karim is responsible for setting the vision and direction of the application while also ensuring the business viability of the business. Under his direction, the startup quickly grew to the most popular eTendering application in the UAE, with over 500 signed businesses and over a billion dirhams worth of awarded tenders within the first 14 months.
