Kamal Krishna leads Possible Worldwide India & Hill & Knowlton Strategies (Digital) as the Managing Director. Since 2008, he has led WPP Digital’s key business initiatives and accounts across Asia & Africa. An experienced digital marketer, he has worked on and with brands like Nokia (Global Delivery Team), Safaricom (A Vodafone company), Hewlett-Packard, General Motors, Unilever, Skoda, Microsoft and Airtel, to name a few. He has also worked on setting up successful eCommerce properties on a turn-key basis. Year-on-year, Kamal has executed award winning marketing programs across all digital platforms and mediums that have been recognized globally and regionally.
In 2011, KK helped launch beStylish.com, an eCommerce retailer – and led marketing & tech initiatives through two funding series’ and as many industry awards. Prior to that, he founded Squad Digital, WPP’s first digital agency in Africa and led it to become the largest agency across the region within its first year of operations. In the same period, his team helped Safaricom go digital and named Digital Marketer of the Year. He was also instrumental in setting up Nokia’s global digital delivery team in India. Prior to WPP, KK had helped build & launch Publicis Groupe’s Digitas India.
KK is a hospitality graduate - a Chef. A founding member of Mobile Marketing Association, East & Central Africa, he shares his domain knowledge as an expert trainer on Afaqs’ Campus initiatives. His hobbies include deep sea diving, flying, paragliding and motorbike mechanics.
