Justin Maxwell is the Director of User Experience and Game Design for Smule.
He joined Mint.com in 2008, led its mobile initiatives, and played an integral role in shaping Mint’s design and user experience to a more app-like product. He led design & ux for Intuit’s Personal Finance group, which includes Mint.com and Quicken, until leaving for Smule in January, 2011.
Prior to joining Mint, Justin brought rapid prototyping to Apple’s Pro App Design team and worked on Final Cut Studio 2 and Aperture. Before that, he led interactive design projects on Apple.com, including creating the first AJAX libraries, implementing the first use of AJAX on apple.com, the first use of custom QuickTime transport in JavaScript (for the debut of Aperture), and helped pave the way for Apple’s currently visually- and interactively-rich site design.
Before Apple, he designed for various agencies and entertainment studios in Los Angeles, creating web presences, experiences, visual, print, and identity design for movies and television shows.
