Julio leads the development team and is responsible for the MicroPlace technology platform. As a long time advocate of agile practices, he ensures that the most important functionality is delivered frequently, with very high quality.
Before joining MicroPlace, in addition to his role as a Software Engineer, Julio was an Agile evangelist at IBM, helping teams build better software. Before that Julio was one of the core engineers at AlphaBlox, building Business Intelligence tools. Programming is what Julio has been doing for the past 20 years, and it’s still what keeps him busy most of the time.
After growing up in Africa, Julio received his degree in computer science in Belgium 18 years ago.
Julio is also a gamer, and after a productive day at work, he likes to log in to World of Warcraft with his rogue or druid, and play with his family and friends.
