Juan Lopez-Valcarcel

Juan is an international digital media executive, having worked as an entrepreneur, advisor and manager of digital companies since 1996.

Currently, he oversees Digital Products and Consumer Technology for Pearson plc, the London-based global media company with three operating units:

• Penguin Group: trade publishing
• Pearson Education: educational publishing, software, assessment
• Financial Times Group: financial publishing

In this newly created corporate role, Juan oversees the product roadmaps, development and partnerships of customer-facing digital products and services across the group.

In particular, he is focused on Pearson’s activity in the mobile content and device market, educational games and digital publishing (eBooks and beyond).
