Juan-Jose Juan is a multinational executive and change agent in the global telecoms industry.
He graduated from IE, a top Business School in Madrid Spain in 2000. He holds a MSc in Telecoms Engineering.
Juan-Jose has been part of the growth and expansion of Vodafone Group since its early days as a multinational company.
He joined in 1997 the first private mobile operator in Spain, Airtel, as part of the team who launched sales and commercial operations to first compete with the incumbent monopoly, Telefonica.
Juan-Jose enjoyed management roles in Sales, Marketing and Product Development, and was selected for the exclusive Global Top Talent program when Airtel became part of Vodafone Group.
As part of this, he took an international assignment to Vodafone New Zealand to kick-start the fixed-mobile portfolio and market activity.
Once back to Spain, he created and led a Top Selling program to accelerate Vodafone’s market share in the top corporate market, strongly dominated by Telefonica. Two years later, Vodafone had doubled its share in that market and rescued several top accounts from the dark side.
In 2007, Juan-Jose moved to Vodafone Group to take worldwide responsibility on Global Solutions as part of the newly created Vodafone Global Enterprise ( VGE ) organisation. This team evolved from 50 to more than 700 employees by 2010, with presence in 23 countries and taking full responsibility of the top 600 MNC customers at a global level achieving success in global mobility deals across more than 100 countries.
VGE was awarded the “Best Enterprise Mobile Service” award at Mobile World Congress 2009, achieved leadership in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant and most analyst reports.
In 2010, after expanding VGE’s global portfolio to global leadership position, Juan-Jose has taken responsibility for Enterprise Innovation for Vodafone at a global level. As part of this role, Juan-Jose is leading the opening of Vodafone’s new Innovation Center in the Silicon Valley area.
