Joshua L. Steiner is a Managing Principal of Quadrangle Group LLC focused on the firm’s $2.9 billion media and communications private equity business. Prior to the formation of Quadrangle Group in 2000, Mr. Steiner was a Managing Director at Lazard Frères & Co. LLC, where he was a member of the firm’s Media and Communications Group. Prior to joining Lazard, Mr. Steiner was the Chief of Staff for the United States Department of the Treasury, where he was responsible for managing the Secretary of Treasury’s staff and served as his adviser on domestic and international policy as well as management and communications issues. Mr. Steiner serves on the Board of Trustees of the New York Public Library, Phillips Academy, Andover and the Enterprise Foundation of New York, an organization that helps develop and maintain affordable housing. Mr. Steiner is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations where he is on the Board of Advisors of Foreign Affairs. Mr. Steiner received a M.St. in modern history from Oxford University. He received a B.A. in history from Yale University.
