Joe McLaughlin is currently working on the side as CEO / developer for MEJR Technologies. He and his partner are writing business and consumer applications in the Adobe AIR framework.
They also have an additional web site (in development) that will be legally incorporated as an LLC. The idea is to build up the Web 2.0+ web site build a web-base (market for the site is 300K+) and monetize it.
The LLC will be structured to run on its own with profits going directly to MEJR Technologies. When the right buyer comes along the service site will be sold off and the profits will be added to the MEJR Technologies coffers. This added money will enable the startup to expand and enable future growth.
Plans for two other sites have already been discussed. Important to note that MEJR does not see itself as an incubator for profitable websites alone, but more so of using the sale of these web sites to build a long-term software company focused on innovation that clearly solves our customers needs.
