José Guerreiro de Sousa has a BSc in Electrotechnical Engineering and Computers from IST (Portugal) and an MBA from UCP (Portugal). From 1986 to 1990, he was a researcher at INESC and Assistant Professor at ISEG (Portugal). From 1990 to 1997, worked at Novabase SA, first as head of the new products development department, and latter as marketing and commercial manager. He is with BES Group since 1998, where he was manager of BES internet banking service and real estate portal (1998 to 2002) and BES Group controller of banking fees and commissions (2002 to 2004). He is with EspÃrito Santo Ventures since late 2004.
