Jonathan joined EV in 2005 as Chief Executive, after fifteen years with Murray Johnstone Private Equity, where, as Managing Director, he managed some £360 million of private equity and venture funds.
He is well known in the private equity industry, having led or directed numerous successful private equity deals, including Canadian Pizza, Greater Manchester Buses North, New World Domestic Appliances, Pilkington’s Tiles, Xyratex, Rank Amusements, Est Est Est, Zero Waste and Plaxton.
A solicitor, Jonathan has lived in the North West of England all his life, and is a highly experienced company director who has taken a number of significant public and private company board positions. He is a former Member of the Council of the British Venture Capital Association, where he chaired the BVCA Legal & Technical Committee for several years.
