As VP of product, J Crowley leads the product development, design, research and analytics teams at Foursquare. J has served as a project manager on both Foursquare and Swarm, with an emphasis on engagement and motivation. Under his leadership, the teams advanced major initiatives including incorporating game mechanics into Swarm and introducing a logged out mode in Foursquare. J joined Foursquare in 2010 as a director of business development, leading media and entertainment partnerships. Previously, J was the CEO & founder of Black20 Digital Studios, and he also spent four years at NBC developing digital programming.
J graduated from the Newhouse School of Communications at Syracuse University and is a three time Family Feud winner. He lives in Brooklyn with his wife and two children.
