Jonathan Beilin probably wants to be your friend. He likes, in no particular order, compassion towards humans and animals alike, bikes as an egalitarian form of sustainable transportation, literature, philosophy, writing, making visual art, learning music, and cats. He is concerned with questions of meaning and morality, wondering what defines and deforms culture, exploring what is necessary to prepare a society for innovations such as civil rights or animal rights, and exploring whether there is a deterministic trajectory of society as well as the inferred nature of that trajectory.
