Jon Yongfook Cockle

Yongfook is a web producer and entrepreneur based in Tokyo and is CTO of Egg & Co. as well as advisor and board member of other Tokyo-based startups.

Yongfook has worked with some of Japan’s top web companies such as Kakaku and Dentsu. Yongfook launched Open Source Food in 2007, a recipe-sharing social network with an advertising-based revenue model. In 2008 Yongfook launched Sweetcron, a Wordpress-like open-source blogging engine that enables users to create a “Lifestream”.

Open Source Food was named one of TIME Magazines “Top 50 Websites of 2008” and Sweetcron has received excellent reviews from publications such as CNET and Ars Technica.
