Jon Flint brings is a co-founder and General Partner of Polaris Venture Partners.
Previously, he served as a partner at Burr, Egan, Deleage, & Co. Prior invenstments include Powersoft, Allaire, Solidworks, American Natural Beverages (Soho Soda), Avici Systems, Exchange.com, American Supercondutor, and Mariner Health Care, JibJab, Athletes Performance, Living Proof, and Modelinia.
Jon Flint is a co-founder and managing general partner based in our Boston office. Along with Steve Arnold and Terry McGuire, he founded Polaris in 1996. Jon focuses on investments at all stages in technology, consumer products, and digital media.
Experience: Prior to founding Polaris, Jon was a partner with Burr, Egan, Deleage & Co., which he joined in 1984. Before joining BEDCO, he was an associate at the Boston law firm of Testa, Hurwitz and Thibeault, where he represented venture capital firms and high technology companies. Prior to Testa, Hurwitz and Thibeault, Jon gained substantial investigative experience during his service on the Impeachment Inquiry Staff of the U.S. Judiciary Committee and on the Watergate Special Prosecution Force.
Boards: Jon currently represents Polaris on the boards of Allurent, Athletes’ Performance, JibJab Media, Inc., Living Proof, Inc., and Modelinia, Inc. Jon’s prior investments include Allaire, American SuperConductor, Avici Systems, Centra, Conductus, Exchange.com, Mariner Health Care, Powersoft, and SolidWorks.
Education: Jon holds a JD from the University of Virginia Law School and a BA with high honors from Hobart College.
