Jon Buttles is Founder and Managing Partner of Core Equity Group (“CEG”). Since 2004, CEG has acted as an equity sponsor, investor, and advisor in early-mid stage venture companies, primarily in the technology and consumer industries.
CEG works with entrepreneurs and technologists to create and develop compelling businesses that have the ability to be successful in both their respective industry and capital markets. CEG applies institutional style discipline and preparation to lead its ventures throughout the corporate finance lifecycle. Prior to CEG, Jon was Managing Director of a technology investment bank working with public and private early stage technology companies. Jon also worked as Associate with Monument Advisors, a middle market investment bank and fund manager located in the Midwest. Jon began his career at Bank One in their corporate lending group and is a graduate of Miami University, Oxford, Ohio.
