“Johnny was appointed DivX General Counsel in July 2007 and currently oversees the DivX legal team. Most recently, he served as Associate General Counsel, with primary responsibilities in SEC compliance and corporate governance, technology licensing, financings and intellectual property. Before that, he was our Senior Director of Intellectual Property, overseeing the company’s intellectual property portfolio and legal enforcement efforts.
Prior to joining DivX back in September 2004, Johnny was an associate at Ropes & Gray in Boston, representing technology and life sciences companies in the areas of corporate, licensing and intellectual property law. He also has experience in the areas of litigation as an associate at Irell & Manella in Los Angeles, and patent prosecution as an associate at Darby & Darby, New York City.
Johnny holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Columbia University, spent a year abroad at Cambridge University (Pembroke College), and received his JD from Yale Law School.” (Source: DivX)
