John left EA in 2004 to found Elevation Partners, a private equity partnership focused on the media and entertainment sector. He returned to EA in 2007 as CEO, leading the company’s transformation into digital, online and mobile markets. During John’s tenure as CEO, EA’s digital and mobile revenues increased nearly 5x to $1.6B in 2012, making EA the leading western digital gaming company in 2012.
