John is a senior-level agency executive with 16 years of entertainment, digital production, account management, marketing strategy, advertising, and agency management experience. Achievements include a proven track record of innovative and successful initiatives for mass consumer brands in categories spanning entertainment, gaming, technology, mobile, automotive, beverage, CPG, hospitality, communications, and education.
He has helped nurture and grow some of the leading interactive agencies in Los Angeles over the past decade. After gaining a foothold in entertainment while at DreamWorks, John moved into interactive content and digital advertising, where he has managed multiple teams and production departments responsible for packaging and delivering large-scale multi-million dollar web, media, mobile, and online marketing campaigns. His experience includes senior executive positions at DNA Studio (now WhittmanHart), Jetset Studios, BLITZ, BIG Interactive, Deadline Design (now mOcean Digital). After serving as MOC’s Head of Digital Production, he was asked to lead a company-wide program to pursue new top-tier projects and accounts as Director, New Account Strategy and Development. Currently John reports to the CEO and leads priority company initiatives as well as corporate strategy for all accounts. He is also responsible identifying, evaluating, and leading the development of and strategy for new business partnerships in North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific.
In 2009 John co-founded and served as President and CEO of JamCloud (relaunched in 2012 as Plug.dj) Plug DJ is a real-time social media experience combining music and video discovery in a fun and interactive online environment, complete with dancing avatars to match people’s personalities.
In the fall of 2010, John co-founded and served as Interim-CEO of Cuttle, Inc. (Cuttle Campus), a digital signage agency that connects brands with influential and affluent student communities nationwide.
