John’s experience includes over 20 years in the technology industry, working for well known Silicon Valley companies such as Hewlett-Packard, Silicon Graphics, and @Home (and later Excite@Home), at stages ranging from pre-revenue start-up to large multi-national. He has held a variety of positions in the controllership, planning, and IT functions where he has been widely recognized for driving labor-saving innovations. At SGI he was honored by fellow employees with the “Spirit of SGI” award, and was recognized for consistently driving efficiencies across the organization. As Senior Director of Finance at Excite@Home his responsibilities spanned three operating divisions in the commercial sector plus the company’s engineering and operations groups. John has also been a key player in very successful system implementations of Oracle and Lawson. Prior to joining the company in November of 2003, he was Controller for a small start-up developing interactive television applications for hospitals. John holds an MBA from Santa Clara University.
