Mr. John Markovich has more than 22 years of executive financial and operational management experience assisting rapidly-growing public and private technology-based companies develop through all phases of maturity. During his career, he has negotiated and closed over 120 debt & equity financing and M&A transactions exceeding $1.8 billion in value, including a $95 million IPO, and has directed the finance, accounting, tax, M&A, legal, operations, IR, human resources and IT functions for companies ranging from privately-held pre-revenue startups to an NYSE-listed Fortune 500 multi-national company with over $1.2 billion in annual revenue. Prior to joining NanoH2O, Mr. Markovich was the CFO of EMCORE Corporation (NASDAQ: “EMKRâ€), a $220 million manufacturer of compound semiconductor-based components, subsystems and systems for the fiber optics and space & terrestrial solar power markets, and previously held CFO positions at Energy Innovations, Orqis Medical Corporation, Pictos Technologies, Tickets.com (NASDAQ: “TIXXâ€), Autobytel.com (NASDAQ: “ABTLâ€) and Optical Coating Laboratories (NASDAQ: “OCLIâ€). Mr. Markovich holds a BS in business from Miami University and an MBA from Michigan State University and is a graduate of Stanford University’s Financial Management Program.
