John Linden is the CTO of Beachhead Studio at Activision Blizzard. Beachhead Studio builds and runs the community technology platform for the Call of Duty franchise including the Call of Duty: Elite website, iPhone / iPad / Android apps, Xbox 360 / PS3 console apps, and Elite TV.

Prior to Activision, John was the President and CTO of RoleStar.com, a social video platform allowing users to interact with others via webcam around their favorite movie content.

Previously, John was the Chief Technology Officer for OpenX, an ad infrastructure platform unifying ad serving, ad exchange, and monetization into one decision. OpenX Ad Server empowers its community of more than 150,000 websites across the Internet with the ability to take control of their ads and maximize their ad revenue and relevance. OpenX products are translated into 25 languages, used in more than 100 countries around the world, and serve more than 400 billion ads each month.

Prior to OpenX, John had been the CTO of Kowabunga after his company Litmus Media was acquired for its click fraud protected advertising distribution technologies (ValidClick). Prior to Litmus Media, Mr. Linden was the chief technology officer for Adknowledge and Virtumundo, Inc. Mr. Linden founded and was the chief executive officer of Planet Alumni, Inc (acquired by Reunion.com in 2001) after starting his career at Microsoft in 1997.
