Marcom is an experienced media executive with a unique experience base across media types and all the world’s major media markets.
He began his career as a reporter at The Wall Street Journal, covering IBM and Silicon Valley in the mid-80s. After attending INSEAD in 1992 he joined Time Inc. and by 1999 headed Time Inc.’s international business, shuttling between Hong Kong and London. He joined AtomFilms in Seattle in early 2000, helping shape some of the first online video advertising efforts.
From 2003 to 2007 he headed Yahoo!’s international operations, as they exploded in revenue to around $2 billion in 2006.
Currently, as President of Future US, he leads the US arm of a London-based specialty-media company. Future’s four main divisions - gaming, tech, music, and custom - each mix sector-leading editorial expertise with energetic exploration of new print models, continually improving web properties, specialized on-console programming, innovative mobile apps and integrated marketing solutions.
