John Bigay, Chief Marketing Officer – marketing, media and digital strategy executive.
As Chief Marketing Officer at Barefoot Books, John Bigay oversees all strategic marketing functions, including branding & communications, consumer marketing and extending the brand’s digital content, e-commerce initiatives and social media presence.
Bigay has 17 years of experience in the traditional and digital media and entertainment industries. Before joining Barefoot Books, he was Senior Vice President of Marketing at BzzAgent, the international word of mouth and social media marketing firm, where he led all of the company’s marketing and product development efforts. Bigay played an integral role in extending the company’s services into the digital media space through the launch of its first online word-of-mouth platform.
Prior to BzzAgent, Bigay was Vice President of Marketing and Programming for Gannett’s Captivate Network, where he directed the digital media company’s marketing and on-air programming efforts. Bigay previously held various marketing positions with PRI’s Public Interactive, Atmosphere Entertainment, Universal Music and MCA Records.
