Joe Wakeford

Joe Wakeford is a music producer and business investor from Surrey, England. He graduated from the Academy of Contemporary Music (ACM) in 1998 with Honours in contemporary music and lives in Prague, Czech Republic. He invests in early-stage business start-ups worldwide with a particular interest in internet and mobile ventures. As a music producer he works within many genres and takes productions from demo to release with a true passion.

MUSIC: Joe co-founded Halfpenny Studios in 1998. His work involves song-writing and producing music for clients around the world alongside lyricists Lars E. Carlsson and Albert Hammond. Halfpenny Studios produce music for bands, solo artists, record companies as well as BBC and theatre. We won’t bore you with a full list of clients but we’ll be happy to invite you to submit your project to us via our website.

BUSINESS: Joe founded and financed the free, safe and secure social network website Folkdirect in 2010. He co-founded the crowdfunding platform Fondomat in 2011. For more information see individual entries below. Joe has founded and/or funded many other ventures since 2000.
