Joe Heitzeberg is the Vice President Communication Product Development for WhitePages.com. Joe oversees the team responsible for helping WhitePages achieve its mission by developing tools for connecting WhitePages users. Joe is also responsible for identifying new technical and market directions for the company.
Previously he founded SnapVine, a pioneering mobile voice applications startup. Heitzeberg began his career at Paul Allen’s Starwave Corporation where he built some of the earliest interactive, paid internet services for ESPN.com and ABCNEWS.com. In 1998 he incubated and sold a hosted ecommerce startup, JoeMart, to Infoseek.com that subsequently became the basis for GO.com’s Auctions and Stores services. Between 2001 and founding SnapVine, Heitzeberg has worked at a leading mobile software company, Openwave Systems, as principal product manager of client software. Heitzeberg holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Washington and an M.B.A. from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
