Joe Chernov is VP of Marketing for Kinvey, a backend as a service for mobile and tablet app developers.
Previously he was VP of content marketing for Eloqua. In 2012 he was named Content Marketer of the Year by the Content Marketing Institute.
He is best known for developing, in collaboration with JESS3, award-winning content, including The Content Grid and The Blog Tree infographics; The Future of Revenue animated video; The Social Media Playbook and Social Media ProBook ebooks; and the From Content to Customer presentation. Chernov is one of the most award-winning content marketers in all of business-to-business marketing. In addition to the Content Marketer of the Year award, Chernov also won or was named a Finalist for awards from Forrester Research, Society of New Communications Research, Word of Mouth Marketing Association, Corporate Executive Board, Beagle Research, and the STEVIE Awards.
Chernov is the former chair of the Member Ethics Advisory Panel for the Word of Mouth Marketing Association. He appears on the cover of the textbook “Marketing: Real People, Real Choices,” contributed a chapter on brand advocacy to “The Big Book of Marketing,” and is cited in “New Rules of PR,” “Smart Business, Social Business,” and “Content Marketing.”
Previously, Chernov served as VP of Communications and Associate VP of Marketing for word-of-mouth marketing firm, BzzAgent, where he led marketing for the launch of the company’s social media platform, BzzScapes.
