Jixun Foo is a Managing Partner in GGV Capital’s Shanghai Office. He brings with him 10 years of experience in venture capital investments, and he focuses on investments in Asia.
Prior to GGV Capital, Jixun was a Director of Draper Fisher Jurvetson ePlanet Ventures where he led and sat on the Board of several key investments in Asia, including Baidu (NASDAQ:BIDU), Longcheer (SGX:L28) and GMedia, in addition to his involvement in Focus Media (NASDAQ:FMCN), Kaitone and Siliconfile (Korea).
Prior to joining DFJ ePlanet in 2000, Jixun headed up the Investment Group with the Finance & Investment Division, National Science & Technology Board of Singapore (NSTB), where he focused on investing in venture capital funds and assisting early stage technology companies.
Prior to his involvement in venture capital, Jixun was an R&D engineer and project group leader at Hewlett Packard. He was involved in several key projects including HP Home Printer and the HP Wide Format Printer.
Jixun is a graduate of the National University of Singapore with First-Class Honors degree in Engineering; he subsequently received a M.Sc. in the Management of Technology from the university’s Graduate School of Business.
