Jixun Foo is a Partner with GGV Capital. He joined the firm in 2006 and is based in the Shanghai office. He has more than 12 years experience in venture capital investing and working with Asian entrepreneurs. Jixun focuses on the Internet and Mobile sectors, and currently serves on the board of directors for Qunar, MediaV, and Douguo. He is also very actively involved with Meilishuo.com, Tudou.com (acquired by Youku.com where he also serves on the board of directors), UCWeb, AAC Technologies, Chaoli and Meihua (600873.SS).
Prior to joining GGV Capital, Jixun was a Director of Draper Fisher Jurvetson ePlanet Ventures where he led investment efforts in Asia such as Baidu (NASDAQ:BIDU) and Longcheer (SGX:L28). Prior to DFJ ePlanet, Jixun headed up the Investment Group with the Finance & Investment Division, National Science & Technology Board of Singapore (NSTB), and was an R&D project group leader at Hewlett Packard before that. Jixun graduated from National University of Singapore with First-Class Honors degree in Engineering and received a M.Sc. in Management of Technology from the University’s Graduate School of Business.
Jixun ranked 11th on “The Midas List 2007” by Forbes, has been annually awarded one of “Best Venture Capitalists” by Forbes China since 2006, and was named to the 2012 Venture Capital 100 by Always-On.
