Jim McNamara has developed digital and mobile strategies and led sales for leading firms across the mobile ecosystem. He has advanced expertise working with major global brands on applying data targeting and analytics to mobile and digital marketing.
Jim currently is Head of Sales for Precision Market Insights at Verizon Wireless where he oversees go to market and sales of consumer insights and media measurement solutions focused on the OOH media, Sports Marketing, Retail, and Mobile publishing industries.
Jim joined Precision from O2 Media in London where he developed the business plan and served in an executive role to launch a dedicated mobile/digital media sales arm of Telefonica/O2 across the EU. O2 Media was created to monetize customer data through multi-channel, mobile-centric marketing connecting leading brands with highly targeted consumer opt-in segments.
Previous to O2 he served as Director of Mobile Ad Sales for Sprint where he managed sales strategy, direct sales, and sales channel for the first US carrier offering mobile advertising, guiding their industry leading targeting and analytics to a dominant market share in 15 months.
Mr. McNamara also served as VP of Strategy in the Digital Practice at data marketer Harte Hanks where he established and led the digital strategy practice with executive responsibility for sales of advanced digital solutions and delivery of professional services.
He started his career in the ‘mobile’ business in the 1960’s delivering The Evening Sentinel by bicycle.
