Jens Begemann is Founder & CEO of wooga (world of gaming) - Europe’s largest social game developer.

Jens founded wooga in January 2009 and received VC funding of $7.5m in summer/autumn 2009 from Balderton Capital and Holtzbrinck Ventures.

wooga has released four games so far on Facebook (Brain Buddies, Bubble Island, Monster World, Happy Hospital) and is among the Top 10 social game developers on Facebook (by number of active users). The focus of the company is to produce very high quality games and fully localizes all games. Therefore its presence in western European markets is particularly strong.

From 2001 - 2008 Jens was at Jamba (aka Jamster) and helped growing the company to the world’s leading provider of mobile entertainment.

From 2005 he was Chief Product Officer & member of the management board.

He managed a team of of 130, being responsible for content acquisition and creation and user experience.

News Corp. acquired the company in 2007. It is now called Fox Mobile Entertainment.
