Jay is a serial tech entrepreneur, a coder, and an avid soccer player.
He is currently founder and CEO of Ruby development shop PROUDCLOUD, co-founder and CTO of HealthTech startup MEDIFI, and the Program Director of LAUNCHGARAGE, a startup accelerator based in Manila that funds and mentors early stage startups through a 6 month program.
In 2002, he founded Wi-Fi hotspot network Airborne Access, which was acquired by PLDT in 2008.
Jay holds roles as director, advisor, and mentor to various tech startups in Manila and regularly speaks on Lean Startup, Agile Development, and the South East Asian Startup Ecosystem. He is considered to be one of the thought leaders of the Philippines’ tech startup scene.
Jay regularly speaks at local and international forums on the South East Asian startup ecosystem including the Asia Business Conference at Harvard, the annual re:publica conference in Berlin, and the annual Echelon conferences in Singapore and Malaysia.
