Speaking at the Facebook Conference
Jawad Shuaib is the founder of Shuzak.com, a one of a kind social network for science and technology enthusiasts. He has played the role of a social media marketer and software developer at numerous startups. As a Web 2.0 software developer, Mr. Shuaib has created and supervised the development of Facebook, YouTube, Google, Yahoo!, Delicious, OpenSocial, and Flickr applications (examples include, http://www.fuelfeed.net and http://www.popular-books.com). More recently, he has been consulting as the chief software developer and Web 2.0 marketer for Flavor Technology (http://www.flavortechnology.com/) and Wellness Heroes Inc. (http://www.wellnessheroes.com/), to develop a platform that powers thousands of news aggregation websites. He has also taught technology and online marketing courses at Canada’s leading technology institute, Humber College (http://www.humber.ca). He is currently serving as the Senior Software Developer and Manager at Achilles Media LTD. (http://www.achillesmedia.com), where he manages a team consisting of web developers and designers to design, develop and maintain over a dozen websites. Jawad is an active participant of and speaker at many of Toronto’s startup community events (i.e. Mesh, EnergizeIT, Demo Camps, Startup Camps, Facebook Camps, Case Camps, CUTC, FITC, nextMEDIA, CIX, StartupEmpire, etc). His interests are currently immersed in the world of collective intelligence, widgets, API’s, cloud computing, semantic web, and mobile applications.
