Jatinder Pal Singh is the Vice President of Research at Deutsche Telekom, Inc. He helped establishment of and currently runs R&D labs of Deutsche Telekom in Silicon Valley, overseeing personnel in the areas of Next Generation Networking, Services and Mobile Platforms, and Multimedia Communications and Systems, with work encompassing high-tech innovation in infrastructure and networking gear, smartphones applications and system engineering for Android, and mutimedia systems for telecommunications. His responsibilities includes general management, finance and budgeting for R&D.
He is also a Consulting Assistant Professor with the department of Electrical Engineering at Stanford University where he teaches and advises applied research and emerging technologies and is a mentor at Stanford SSE Labs. He is a regular presenter at renowned forums, and has authored several publications and patents in the areas of wireless communications, mobile computing, smartphone platforms, peer-to-peer media streaming, TCP throughput optimization and WLAN networks.
He was formerly the Director of Research, and before that Senior Research Scientist with Deutsche Telekom Laboratories. His prior experience includes work at IBM T.J.Watson Research Center, Robert Bosch Corporation (Palo Alto, CA), Intel Corporation (San Jose, CA), and IBM India Research Labs (New Delhi).
