A director at Google Ideas, Jared Cohen is writing a book with Eric Schmidt. As a member of the US State Dept.’s Policy Planning Staff, Cohen focused on counter-terrorism, counter-radicalization, technology and innovation, the Middle East, Youth issues, and Public Diplomacy. He also chairs the Policy Planning Staff Working Group on 21st century statecraft. He received his B.A. from Stanford University and his M.Phil in International Relations from Oxford University, where he studied as a Rhodes Scholar. He is the author of several books, including A Young American’s Travels Among the Youth of the Middle East.
