In 1977 he started in a traditional advertising agency LVH and became there in 1982 creative director and in 1987 ceo. In 1991 he started as an entrepreneur with his own agency (Quattro) which is in 2009 still very successful as Saatchi&Saatchi. In 1994 he pioneered in all things web within Quattro and out of that unit grew in 1998 another digital/interactive agency called i-merge which in 2009 is still successful as Boondoggle and recently won 5 Golden Lions in Cannes. That agency in 2004 was the biggest interactive agency in Belgium and - looking for scale - he went to China in 2006 to develop what is now Holaba - an interactive scaleable platform. Holaba now being the only activity of i-merge in China - fully owned by Jan Van den Bergh (80%), Wenli (10%), Gemme (10%).
