Jamie Kantrowitz is a partner at Launchpad LA, the leading startup accelerator in Southern California. She has experience founding, scaling, and operating both start-ups and large organizations globally, as well as a deep expertise connecting new technologies with brands, partners and new audiences.
Most recently, Jamie co-founded LA-based Gobbler, a software company building simple but powerful cloud collaboration, organization and backup tools for media creators.
From 2004-2009, Jamie held various senior roles at MySpace where she joined early in the company’s inception and started the Marketing and Content divisions. She was responsible for launching MySpace’s music and social entertainment platform, and then moved to London to lead the international expansion of the company into 30 countries as SVP, Global Marketing + Entertainment. For her work at MySpace, she was recognized as one of Billboard Magazine’s “30 under 30” list and was honored in Ad Age’s “Top 50 Marketers.”
Jamie has served as a Board Director for Soundcloud, the web’s leading audio platform, and remains a passionate advocate for youth issues, serving as an advisor for Invisible Children and I am That Girl. In 2012, she was an advisor to the digital campaign for President Barack Obama.
